Who we are

Compane is an ad platform that gives users control over which ads they see. We match ads to your stated interests — not to hidden profiles or tracking pixels. Our registered address is Finland.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

• Account data: your name, email address, and handle when you register
• Interaction data: ads you like, save, follow, or comment on
• Interests: categories you explicitly choose in the onboarding flow
• Device data: basic device type and browser, used only to render the app correctly

How we use your data

We use your data solely to personalise your ad feed based on interests you have selected. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Advertisers see only aggregate performance data — never individual user identities.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide during onboarding. You can withdraw consent at any time under Profile → Privacy & data. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Cookies & storage

Compane uses browser local storage solely to keep you logged in and remember your in-app preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

1. Who we are

Compane ("we", "us", "our") operates the Compane platform available at compane.co. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Compane. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. Advertisers must be legally registered businesses or sole traders with a valid business email address.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at oliver@compane.co if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Consumer use

As a consumer you may browse the feed, interact with ads, save content, and manage your interest preferences. You agree not to use automated tools, scripts, or bots to generate artificial views, clicks, or engagement. Fraudulent engagement may result in immediate account termination.

5. Advertiser use

Advertisers may submit ads for review and run campaigns on the platform. All submitted content must comply with our Advertiser Policy. We reserve the right to reject or remove any ad at our discretion. You are billed at €5.00 CPM (cost per thousand verified views). Compane retains 30% as a platform fee. Invoices are issued on the 1st of each month.

6. Prohibited content

You may not submit, post, or promote content that:

• Is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Infringes any intellectual property rights
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
• Promotes illegal products or services
• Targets minors with inappropriate content
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content you grant Compane a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the platform for the duration of your campaign. Compane's brand, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property and may not be used without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compane shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.
